Links

I realised I haven't done a post on this topic, so I will throw up some notes from my nonphysical strength workshop.

Appendix C (Psychic) Links

Something quite a few people know as a result of crime investigation shows, is the guiding principle of forensic science that when there is a contact in the physical world, there is a trace left – whether that is a fingerprint or DNA or something else. The same principle applies to the non-physical world as well: when we interact with other people, or with places, there is a – non-physical - residue left.
The type of residue that I wish to consider now is what I term a “link”, and what other people have called “cords” (or “psychic cords” or “psychic links”).
The strength and nature of these links depends on the strength and nature of the interaction:
Ø  interact in a superficial, pleasant way with someone (e.g. smile, or hold a door open), and the “link” will be minor, but of a positive nature, which means its existence will be pleasant – for instance, a better mood;
Ø  interact in a superficial, unpleasant way with someone (perhaps scowl at a stranger), and the link will similarly be minor, but its existence will be unpleasant – perhaps interpreted as promptings of a guilty conscience;
Ø  interact in a positive way with someone to an extent that is meaningful or significant, such as form a loving relationship with them, and the linkage that is established (actually, it will probably be a whole group of links) will be significant and pleasant – felt, for instance, as a warm, loving glow when you think of that person;
Ø  interact in a negative way with someone to an extent that is meaningful or significant, such as harm or perhaps even kill them, and the linkage that is established will be significant and pleasant – the return of energy from your victim is actually one of the mechanisms for the return of karma.
The existence of negative links can result in a number of problems for the person who created them (often done so in a previous life), problems such as disturbed sleep, pain, guilt, even what is attributed to “bad luck”.
On the other hand, positive links can be a source of inner resilience and strength, particularly in trying times.
Negative links can be cleared, and positive links can be strengthened. The clearing of a negative link is best done by dissolving it with love – which is also the technique for strengthening a positive link.
Before getting into the details of the technique, note that I do NOT recommend simply “cutting” the link: that is an aggressive technique that leaves problems unresolved, and the ends of the cut links or cords may latch on to other people and cause problems elsewhere.
When you clear a negative link, the people (or people and places, etc) on both ends of the link will have the psychic burden of that link removed, and thus will generally both feel better and function more effectively in life.
When you strengthen a positive link, the people (or people and places, etc) on both ends of the link will generally experience a lift in mood.

Clearing a negative link:

  1. establish protection (and check that it is adequate);
  2. think of a time in your life when you most felt a generous, positive love, and relive that time or moment as much as possible, to rebuild those energies in your aura;
  3. ask you Guides to help you become aware of the location of the negative link that it is most important, for the Highest Spiritual Good, that you clear;
  4. when you have a sense of where that link is, allow the love you have built up to flow out through that link until you feel that is has totally dissolved. If this link was formed as a result of you doing wrong to someone else, you will be healing that person by this action;
  5. you can repeat this for other links, but I strongly recommend that you alternate between clearing negative and strengthening positive links;
  6. when you have finished, close your chakras and aura, centre and ground yourself, thank the Guides for their help, and allow the protection to ease back to whatever your Guides wish you to have for normal, everyday life.

Strengthening a positive link:

  1. establish protection (and check that it is adequate);
  2. think of a time in your life when you most felt a generous, positive love, and relive that time or moment as much as possible, to rebuild those energies in your aura;
  3. ask you Guides to help you become aware of the location of the positive link that it is most important, for the Highest Spiritual Good, that you strengthen;
  4. when you have a sense of where that link is, allow the love you have built up to flow out through that link until you feel the love coming back (at the other end of the link, the person receiving this link may find themselves suddenly thinking warmly of you);
  5. you can repeat this for other links;
  6. when you have finished, close your chakras and aura, centre and ground yourself, thank the Guides for their help, and allow the protection to ease back to whatever your Guides wish you to have for normal, everyday life.
These skills, like any other, are strengthened by practice. One of the useful aspects of this to develop is the ability to check for the number of links that you have to clear or strengthen.
