CE (Common Era)

I am not Christian, as are most of the people on this planet. Hence, to use a date system based on AD (Anno Domino – “in the year of someone else’s Lord) or BC (before someone else’s “Saviour” was born) is, at the very least, inappropriate, and in actuality, offensive and an act of Christian proselytising. Hence, many people, not just me, use the terms CE – Common Era – and BCE – Before Common Era - which is an official designation (see here).
